On behalf of Heather's family, friends and most of all her fiancé Kevin, I would like to welcome you to Heather's Celebration of life.
For that is exactly what this gathering is. Heather wouldn't want us to be sad for she was always a joy and a light in all of our lives.
Even while fighting the terrible cancer she never lost her infectious positive attitude. The aura that surrounded her personified hope. She never gave up that hope knowing how much she was loved by friends and family who supported her through her long and difficult battle.
Many thanks for the prayers, kind words and comforting chats with her that kept her and the family going.
She was a strong woman who did not want to be felt sorry for. Always thinking of others first, that was her nature...
Her love of her friends and animals will always be remembered. We are blessed by the memories made with this special lady. Whether it was a dinner at the Juicy Crab, tail gating at Dixie Speedway or a girl's night out at Jimmy Mac's, Heather was always down for a good time and some laughs.
There were too many shenanigans to mention. We all have our favorite memories with her.
Her real love though, other than Kevin, was her fur babies. I don't know too many people with Cherokee County Humane Society on speed dial but she was one!
Countless animals, both dogs and cats, found their forever homes because of this special lady. Not that she didn't kidnap a few for herself too!
Her home was always blessed with well treated fur babies! She will be greeted at the pearly gates by Maggie May, Ranger and Freckles who all held a place in her heart.
In lieu of flowers she requested you make a donation to "The Forlorn Pit Bull Rescue" or adopt a pet from the Cherokee Animal Shelter in her honor.
Special prayers to her beloved Mom, Sandy who has lost a daughter, best friend and closest confidant. It was hard, we know, being a single mom to such a head strong daughter but you did an awesome job raising her with some help from your folks.
Heather was never far from her love Kevin who was beside her side through thick and thin. Always keeping a smile on her face and giving her the love she so deserved. May you keep the memories in your heart forever. We are here for you my friend now, and always...
Thank you for your time and for the opportunity to honor our Heather and to share the love she gave to us all.
If there are any friends or family who would like to share their favorite story please come forward at this time to do so!
